Project Overview

MRPV is a data processing tool tailored to efficiently manage timesheets and expenses for contractors and sub-contractors involved in Victoria Major Road Projects. Evolving from a developer-made version, the refined design prioritizes optimal information architecture, ensuring an intuitive user experience, and maximizing the utilization of page space.

Design Purpose

Reducing manual workload and error rates

Given that Project Managers (PM) and Project Directors (PD) currently spend two days a week manually processing data, the aim is to create a more efficient system that significantly alleviates the burden on PM and PD, allowing them to reallocate time and resources more effectively, and minimizing the potential for errors associated with manual data processing.

Enhancing overall system usability

Acknowledging that the current design lacks a consistent visual style and involves misuse of white space, the design focus is on revamping the interface to prioritize user actions and accessibility. The aim is to create an intuitive and user-friendly system that enhances the overall user experience, making interactions smoother and more efficient.
